Vabilo Toplo vabljeni na javni pogovor z dr. Claire Petitmengin, raziskovalko doživljanja, kognitivno znanstvenico in dolgoletno praktikantko čuječnosti. O čuječnosti v znanosti se bomo pogovarjali v torek, 25. septembra 2018, ob 19:30 v Kosovelovi dvorani Cankarjevega doma. Pogovor bo vodil dr. Urban Kordeš, profesor kognitivne znanosti in prvoosebnega raziskovanja na Univerzi v Ljubljani. Pogovor bo potekal v angleščini. Gostja: dr. Claire Petitmengin Moderator pogovora: dr. The event will take place on Tuesday, 25 September, at 19.30, in Cankarjev dom (Kosovelova dvorana). The discussion will be held in English and led by Dr. Urban Kordeš, professor of cognitive science and first-person research at the University of Ljubljana.   Guest Dr. Claire Petitmengin is one of the world’s leading experience researchers as well as a long-time mindfulness practitioner. Her experience with meditation practice is reflected in her “micro-phenomenological” approach to exploring consciousness.   Micro-phenomenological methods help individuals become aware of usually unrecognized dynamics of their own lived experience, and describe these dynamics with precision. This enables cognitive scientists to compare descriptions of people’s lived experience with other types of data, for instance with measurements of their brain activity. In addition to being increasingly employed in contemporary cognitive science, the micro-phenomenological approach has also been used in various educational, therapeutic, artistic, and technological applications.   In her prolific career, professor Petitmengin has researched a variety of experiential processes, ranging from the experience related to epileptic seizures to the experience that accompanies the emergence of intuition. In recent years, her research has greatly contributed to the nascent field of contemplative science. In 2016, she and her colleagues carried out the first systematic scientific study of the moment-to-moment lived experience of practicing meditation.   Moderator Urban Kordeš is employed at the University of Ljubljana as the head of the master program in cognitive science. He has been engaged in researching experience – in ways both academic and non-academic – for more than 15 years. Tickets

Vabilo

Toplo vabljeni na javni pogovor z dr. Claire Petitmengin, raziskovalko doživljanja, kognitivno znanstvenico in dolgoletno praktikantko čuječnosti. O čuječnosti v znanosti se bomo pogovarjali v torek, 25. septembra 2018, ob 19:30 v Kosovelovi dvorani Cankarjevega doma. Pogovor bo vodil dr. Pogovor bo potekal v angleščini.

Gostja: dr. Claire Petitmengin
